CALLING ALL EXPERT POWER SYSTEMS SELLERS!

In early 2014 the search will begin for Power Systems sellers and Technical sellers to update the exam portfolio for POWER8™.

Why be an exam author?

  • Exam authors set the standard of minimum competence in Sales and Technical Sales job roles world-wide.
  • Exam authors define what must be known, and therefore influence exam content (skills as well as products and solutions)
  • Exam authors who actively participate in all phases of the development project are awarded both the certification and a special “developers” certificate.

What is required to be an exam author?

  • 2-5 years selling Power Systems hardware
  • With AIX 7 and earlier
  • With IBM i 7 and earlier
  • With SUSE and/or Red Hat Linux
  • Strong product knowledge
  • Strong Sales or Technical Sales skills
  • Including “soft skills” such as opportunity qualification, evaluating customer needs and environments, consultative selling skills, financial justification, and overcoming typical objections or road-blocks in the sales cycle
  • The ability to commit to a 2-6 month project in 1H2014 with at least 2 conference calls weekly, plus working independently to write and revise exam questions
  • The willingness to sign and honor a confidentiality agreement (all exam content is highly confidential)
  • Being a currently certified individual
  • Prior exam authoring experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Non-US participants are essential!

If this is of interest to you, send an email with Power Author in the subject to lcalley@us.ibm.com describing your skills and experience. Approximately 15 of the best-qualified candidates will be selected for each team. Only those selected will be contacted.
